It's meaning nothing to talk about which university is better.

My point of view is that English is more important than your study.

Different student came here with different object.
If you are a geek like study, maybe Dal is good choice, since there are so many first-rate professors in this old University. If you are kind of person who juat want a degree to get a job in Canada, choosing a college is not a bad idea. But you have to agree, not every University has a good environment for learning English.

I don’t know how these people are living in an English speaking city (Halifax,
Nova Scotia, Canada) and attending a English speaking University but this is just weird. My roommate is not Chinese and I don't spend too long time with Chinese people.Don't say I am a Chinese jerk, but nothing is important than what I should learn during my study in Canada. I love China, and I also want have a lot of Chinese friends, but I don't want my most important thing being missed.

Honestly, I hate an agency called Zhong-Jia, it ran by some Canadian Chinese. The people of this agency care money more than Chinese students. Heared from one of my Dal friends, this jerk cooped a new" Master of health program " at Dal at last term, the degree is not recognized by Canada, only for some Chinese students who want to get a master program in a short time. Compared with other master program of Dal, the tuition is much higher than others (at least double). This sucks program starts from this sept, and its classrooms are at the "BASEMENT" of Fenwick building. My friend is a Canadian, he has a bunch of Chinese friends. And he said that he is really ashamed by what "zhong-jia" and Dalhousie did to Chinese students, they treated Chinese students as money-maker. Last term, GAD(graduate association of Dalhousie) ledged a protest with CSSA against "high tuition to Chinese" to Dalhousie, but no information back. You can find the detail about this from the newspaper of Dalhousie University.

In fact,Zhong-Jia keeps a very good relation with SMU either, it cooped with SMU much earlier than Dal, as I know, a lot of Chinese students of SMU come to Canada through this agency. One of programs they help recurit students from SMU is CFA. Compared with that Dal program I listed above, you guys should feel lucky. Anyway, the only shortage of this program is all Chinese.

To some people who said there are a lot of Chinese in Dal, it's hard to let me agree with that. I am a SMU student who take Summer courses at Dal. In my management class, only two Chinese in a 32 student size class. The professor is tougher than SMU, and I didn't find he is better than the teachers of SMU on teaching.

By the way, don't to be too sensitive to these words. I have no intension to offend others(both Dal and SMU).I just speak my words. Anyway, one word,no matter where you are, if you work hard, you will be best .
